The Honey Cakes - Medovik
Lemon Honey Cake (Medovik) is our fresh, citrusy take on the traditional Eastern European layered honey cake.
Each delicate layer is infused with raw golden honey and rolled by hand to preserve its distinctive flavour. Silky, light cream is paired with vibrant lemon curd, bringing a refreshing citrus tang that perfectly balances the natural sweetness of honey. Rich yet light and not overly sweet, with a bright lemon finish that keeps you coming back for another slice.
This is the first time I order the Classic Original Honey Cake for my mum’s birthday, and I’m glad that I did.

Most desserts I’ve had in Australia are a bit too sweet for my taste, but your honey cake has the perfect level of sweetness. It pairs wonderfully with a cup of tea. This is the best honey cake I’ve ever had. I like it.👍
Absolutely amazing honey cake, so moist and perfectly sweet. We ordered a large cake for our daughter’s birthday after trying some at the Essendon Markets, and it comfortably fed 30 people with some cake left over. Kati was incredibly accommodating throughout the process. The cake was delivered right on time, and they even included a birthday sign and a candle, which was such a thoughtful and special touch. The cake was a huge hit with all of our guests. We highly recommend them and will definitely be ordering again!
The Medovik honey cake was exceptional, especially with the pistachio and raspberry twist. The honey layers were soft and aromatic, and the pistachio cream brought a beautiful pistachio nuttiness that made the cake feel richer and more indulgent. The raspberry added a gentle sourness that balanced the sweetness perfectly, giving each bite a clean, refreshing finish.
A visually stunning cake with flavours that are thoughtful and well‑balanced. Sweet, nutty, tangy — everything works together. Absolutely worth trying.
