Terms and Conditions

 

Please read these terms and conditions carefully. You understand that by ordering any goods, you agree to be bound by these Terms and conditions.

 

1. General

The Honey Cakes – Medovik operates as a home-based food business in accordance with local council and Victorian food safety regulations. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Orders and Lead Time

All cakes are made to order. A minimum lead time of 48 hours is required for all orders.

Orders placed within 48 hours of the requested collection or delivery time are considered last-minute orders.

3. Orders and Payments

All orders must be confirmed in advance. Full payment is required to secure an order unless otherwise agreed. All prices are listed in AUD and are subject to change without notice.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

Due to the made-to-order nature of our products:

Orders placed within 48 hours of collection or delivery are non-refundable.

Cancellations made less than 72 hours before collection or delivery are non-refundable.

Cancellations made earlier than 72 hours may be eligible for a partial or full refund at our discretion.

Refunds are not provided for change of mind.

5. Customer Satisfaction and Returns

If you are not satisfied with your cake, you must notify us as soon as possible and return the product for inspection.

We reserve the right to decline any refund or replacement if the cake is not returned or if it has been consumed, damaged, or improperly handled after collection or delivery.

This does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

6. Allergens

Our honey cakes contain the following allergens: dairy, gluten (wheat), eggs, and nuts.

Due to the nature of our kitchen, we cannot cater for severe allergies, and cross-contact may occur. Customers with allergies are responsible for considering this information before placing an order.

7. Storage and Shelf Life

Cakes must be stored in the refrigerator and are best consumed within 3–5 days of collection or delivery. We are not responsible for issues arising from improper storage or handling after handover.

8. Collection and Delivery

Collection and delivery times must be agreed in advance.

We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including traffic, weather, or access issues.

Responsibility for the product transfers to the customer once the cake has been collected or delivered.

9. Design and Appearance

All cakes are handcrafted. Minor variations in decoration, colour, height, or finish may occur and do not constitute a fault.

10. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure or delay in fulfilling an order due to events beyond our control, including equipment failure, power outages, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances. Where possible, a refund or alternative solution will be offered.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
